What runs on our website and account portal — and what doesn't.
This Cookie Policy explains how Anchored Privacy uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and Client Portal.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site function correctly and, in some cases, remember your preferences.

We use Umami, a lightweight, self-hosted analytics tool, for tracking only — anonymous, aggregate page-view statistics like how many people visit a page. It shows general location (city/country) and device type (e.g. phone, laptop), derived at the moment of your visit — your IP address itself is not stored. It is not used for session recording, click tracking, or scroll tracking.
We do not use cookies to track your browsing activity once you are connected to our VPN or Private DNS — this policy covers only our marketing website and account portal, not the privacy-protected traffic the Service itself carries.
Our payment processor, PayFast, may set its own cookies during checkout to process your payment securely. See PayFast's privacy policy for details. Our live chat (Chatwoot) and analytics (Umami) are both self-hosted on our own South African infrastructure — neither sends data to a third party's servers.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent the Client Portal from functioning correctly.
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
